New Frozen Trailer (WITH ELSA!!!)

I know this is kind of old news but I haven't been able to get on this recently. But anyway, here it is: the brand new Frozen trailer!
I personally think it's amazing and miles better than any other trailers than I've seen for this movie before. It showcases the more serious and dramatic parts the movie has to offer whilst still throwing in a few jokes provided by the funny Olaf the Snowman, who I never really had a problem with.
As you can see in the picture above, Olaf is dancing (to a possible musical number) alongside some trolls, whom we have, up until now, never seen before. The design is... different but I like it. The trailer also focuses on Elsa a lot more with a few pieces of dialogue and a better insight to the tragic side of the character.

They both look absolutely beautiful and sad especially the one on the top, but Anna will come in to save the day!...hopefully. We also have a very bold statement in 'experience the greatest Disney animated event since The Lion King'. That's a very bold statement but they seem to have faith in this film, so then I do.
The picture above also shows a very sweet looking moment between Elsa and Hans, which gives me second thoughts about the latter being the villain.
The second half is played to Anna's song For the First Time in Forever, which sounds great both lyrically and by Kristen Bell's singing voice.
We also see Anna's hair turning white (which results in one of the funniest moments in the trailer), which will probably become an important plotpoint later in the film. What else can I say, the animation looks great, the story looks great, the characters look great, the whole movie just looks great and I can't wait to see it in December.

That's The Animated Kid, over and out.

Moana News

Two new concept art pictures of Disney's upcoming Moana have been released, along with the offical plot!

They really do look breathtaking, in very different styles. The first is in a more quirky, cartoony style, and the second is a lot more realistic and beautiful. Also, Brendon Connely of Bleeding Cool filled us in on the plot details:
''[Moana's] an epic, or even mythic, adventure set around 2000 years ago and across a series of islands in the South Pacific.
The lead character, Moana Waialiki is the only daughter of a Chief in a long line of navigators. She’s really a bit of nerd, but a nerd about sea voyaging, and when her family need her help, she sets off on an epic journey. Some of the other characters are demi-gods and spirits drawn from real mythology.''
Hmm... Very interesting. It definitely seems new, and I like that Disney are going all over the place with their upcoming schedule. The whole mythology thing sounds a bit like Hercules, but I hope and think they'll take it in a completely different direction.

I wonder if any of the girls in the bottom picture are Moana, probably the one in blue, and if she'll be a Disney Princess. I hope she'll be a strong heroine. I have no idea who the blue haired character in the top picture is, maybe a mythological character.

I'm very excited about  Disney's upcoming slate, and I hope and think that this will be another fantastic instalment to, what I think, is the second Disney renaissance.

That's The Animated Kid, over and out.

Welcome to the Animated Kid!!!!

Hello I'm Billy Truscott and this is my first ever post on my new blog: The Animated Kid!!! This post will basically tell you what my blog will be about and what I'm planning to do. So, I give you:

THE ANIMATED KID

Well done old chap.
As you might have guessed, this will be another site giving you my thoughts on the latest news about animation, usually films. But first I'll get a big secret out of the way: At time of writing, I'm only 10!!!

WHAT!!!!!
Yes, it's true! I am really only ten, hence the name The Animated Kid. The whole point of this blog is to look at the world of animation from a child's perspective, and I will be completely honest about the topic. I will review the animated films that I have seen, whether they be in cinemas or released fifty years ago. I won't be able to review more adult films, but I think that's okay as most animated films are geared towards families. I also have to inform you that I live in Britain, so I won't be able to comment on new American releases until I see them here in the U.K. And for some films that may be a problem...

FOUR MONTHS!!!
I'll also do many other types of posts related to the topic, such as rotten tomatoes predictions and news, an award list at the end of each year, advertising views, and many, many more. And I think I'm done for my first ever post, so that's The Animated Kid, over and out.
